An Interesting Move From Xbox & Ubisoft
In a very intriguing and interesting move, 16 Ubisoft titles can now be purchased on the Xbox PC Store. Of course, this is a first as Ubisoft PC titles have never been purchasable on the Xbox PC Store previously.
The announcement was made by Ubisoft on X.
It seems that the games will also require a Ubisoft Connect account to play. They are also not Xbox Play Anywhere compatible. If you also want the Xbox version of these titles, you will need to purchase them additionally.
Titles included are:
- Assassins Creed Odyssey
- Assassins Creed Shadows
- Assassins Creed Origins
- Assassins Creed Valhalla
- Far Cry 6
- Far Cry 5
- Far Cry New Dawn
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint
- Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
- South Park: The Fractured But Whole
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Watch Dogs 2
- Watch Dogs: Legion
- Riders Republic
Ubisoft is certainly very keen to broaden its horizons and have its games playable across as many platforms as possible.
They have always been a big supporter of cloud gaming, with their titles available on services such as GeForce NOW, Blacknut and Amazon Luna.
They are also working on their own cloud gaming offering, which was expected to launch sometime in early 2025.
