Ubisoft has officially released a free update bringing 60 FPS support to Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, and Far Cry Primal. Available starting today, this performance boost targets PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S hardware. But it carries significant implications for the cloud gaming community, specifically those utilizing Xbox Cloud, PlayStation Cloud and Ubisoft+.
With this update, the entire post-Far Cry 3 lineup now runs at a smooth 60 FPS on current-generation systems. Because Xbox Cloud Gaming is powered by custom Xbox Series S hardware, subscribers can now enjoy these classics at 60 frames per second while streaming to their favorite devices. This drastically reduces input latency and provides a much more responsive experience.
Availability and Deals
The update is applied automatically for all digital versions. Additionally, for those who don’t yet own these classics, Ubisoft is running major promotions on the PlayStation Store through February 4, with discounts up to 75% off.
Also important, all three titles are available at no additional cost to subscribers of Ubisoft+, PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This means that whether you are at home playing on a console or somewhere else via the cloud, you can enjoy the definitive versions of these open-world classics.
