Amazon is continuing to strengthen the bridge between its streaming and gaming ecosystems with the announcement of Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, a brand-new title launching exclusively on Amazon Luna on July 31. Releasing in tandem with the Season Two premiere of the Batman: Caped Crusader animated series on Prime Video, the game will be available to Amazon Prime members at no additional cost.
Developed as part of Luna’s “GameNight” party game collection, Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles is a cooperative detective adventure designed for 1 to 4 players. Players step into Gotham City’s underworld alongside GCPD’s Detective Montoya, working as part of Batman’s inner circle across 11 interactive episodes. The experience relies on sleuthing minigames to defeat DC Super-Villains including Scarecrow, Dollmaker, Music Meister, and The Joker.
In an effort to keep the barrier to entry as low as possible, the title requires no dedicated gaming hardware or large downloads. Players can simply use their smartphones as controllers via the Luna app, making it an accessible couch co-op experience for families and casual gamers alike.
The release also highlights Amazon’s newest feature update for Fire TV users in the U.S. and U.K., which allows subscribers to launch Luna titles directly from within the Prime Video app. According to J.C. Connors, Director of Amazon Game Studios, this enables viewers to seamless transition from watching the animated series to playing inside Gotham City within seconds.
