Netflix Games Announces Rollercoaster Tycoon Touch, Squid Game Unleashed and Snake.IO During Gamescom

During the Opening Night of gamescom, one of the gaming industry’s largest events, a slew of games were announced for Netflix Games. In this article, we are going to go over all the games announced, and help you decide if you’re going to be hyped for the rest of the year on Netflix Games.

Snake.IO (August 27th)

The first game we are going to dive into is a mobile game that is already available on iOS and Android but will be coming to Netflix Games on August 27th, Snake.IO. This game is very similar to other games in the.IO franchise, where you must eat small dots and grow your character’s length to defeat enemies and eat them to keep expanding. The goal of this game is to become the biggest snake in the match. Will you be capable enough to do that? Find out on August 27th or get some practice in now with the standard version of this game.

Battleship (September 10th)

Based on the beloved board game of the same name, Battleship is a strategy game where you must use your wits and tactical brainpower to protect your fleet and sink the enemy ships. This game is one that generations have played in tabletop form, however, you can play this game via Netflix Games from September 10th, good luck Captain you’re going to need it.

Rollercoaster Tycoon Touch (October 8th)

In this mobile game take on the classic Rollercoaster Tycoon series, you build your own amusement park and must make it a hotspot for tourists and diehard fans. Build up your park with brand-new rides and attractions as you look to grow your theme park empire in Rollercoaster Tycoon Touch. This game is already available on mobile phones so if you want to get some experience before this game drops on Netflix now is the time.

Squid Game Unleashed (Release: TBD)

The final game for our list is the video game adaption of the popular Korean television series Squid Game Unleashed. In this 32-player multiplayer game, you take on challenges from the show, unlike the show however the game has a lot more slapstick comedy and isn’t as dark. This game comes from Boss Fight Entertainment which is a Netflix Games studio that is also behind Money Heist Ultimate Choice, Dungeon Boss Respawned and the Netflix Stories selection of games.

Netflix Games has also confirmed the release dates for the Monument Valley games on Netflix with the first game hitting the service on September 19th followed by the second game on October 29th and the third game on December 10th. More about Monument Valley 3 here.
