Age of Empires II Arrives on PS5 In The Coming Weeks
Back in February, it was announced that Age of Empires II would be making its way to PS5. In that same announcement, it was also confirmed that Age of Mythology: Retold would also be coming to PS5. The latter was released on February 27th.
Now we have a confirmed release date for Age of Empires II. It will officially launch on PS5 on May 6th 2025.
The game is also available to pre-order on the PlayStation Store, with the standard edition priced at £29.99. Anyone who pre-orders the game will receive the ‘Mountain Royals’ DLC as well as 24 animated profile icons.
A Premium Edition of the game is also available to pre-order which will come with all previously released content and also the new ‘The Three Kingdoms’ expansion will also launch on May 6th. Another added bonus of pre-ordering the Premium Edition is that you can get 5 days of early access to the game.
The arrival of Age of Empires II on PS5 marks another game in an influx of Xbox Game Studios titles coming to the console. In the coming weeks, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle and Forza Horizon 5 will also be coming to PlayStation.
