Amazon Luna has been steadily rolling out new games across its variety of channels. Today they released three new games split between the Luna+ channel and the Retro Gaming channel.
Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader

First up on Luna+ ($9.99 a month) comes “Are You Smarter Than 5th Grader” which had previously launched on Stadia in the cloud earlier this year. It’s a really fun game with a big catalog of questions. I’ve played a lot of it on Stadia. The only downside is that only local multiplayer is supported. I’m not entirely sure if it will work correctly with “Luna Couch” because (for the Stadia version at least) you also had to pass around a single controller to play. If anyone has Luna+, let us know! Here is the description of the game.
Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? is a charmingly humorous quiz game based on the popular TV franchise. Multiple-choice questions, true-or-false challenges, and minigames will test your proficiency in 24 different subjects. Faced with a tough question, you can always rely on your classmates for help. More than 6800 questions on topics like animal sciences, vocabulary, math, and more are delivered by a diverse, fully voiced, and animated cast of characters. Beat each challenge alone or together with family and friends in exciting couch co-op multiplayer gameplay to prove that you are, in fact, smarter than a 5th grader!
Arcade Paradise

Another game that previously released on Stadia (right as the service was announced to be shuttered) has made its way over to Amazon Luna as well. Arcade Paradise. This time to Luna’s Retro channel. The game is a simulation where you turn your family laundrette into an arcade. “Play, profit, and purchase new arcade machines, with over 35 to choose from, to build your very own Arcade Paradise!” What makes this a retro game is that you can also play all the arcade machines that you manage.
It’s great to see these games find additional homes in the cloud after Stadia’s demise.
Toki

The last of the three new games, Toki also joins the retro channel. It’s a 2D side scrolling platforming in a retro style released just back in 2018.
Toki sets off on a new adventure! The cult action/platform game originally released on arcade machines in 1989 is back with a super-simian new version, featuring all-new hand-drawn graphics and re-orchestrated music! Toki the warrior lived peacefully in the jungle with his sweetheart Miho. Appearing out of nowhere, the terrifying voodoo sorcerer Vookimedlo and heinous demon Bashtar kidnap Miho and turn the poor Toki into a chimpanzee! Unfortunately for his sweetheart, he has become a hairy, lethargic ape…
I think Arcade Paradise is probably the best get among these games. But, let us know if you decide to check any of them out.
