Antstream Arcade Adds Three Additional Disney Games

Antstream Arcade Banner - A purple-haired girl is immersed in some retro gaming on Antstream Arcade, with various pixel-art game characters from classic NES titles in the background.

One of the most exciting partnerships Antstream Arcade formed this year was with Disney – allowing classic Disney games to arrive on the Antstream platform. And, we now have three more classic Disney games on the Antstream service. Two of the games are from the SNES and the third comes from the NES. Let’s dive into these new games and see if any of these classic games appeal to you.

The Little Mermaid (NES):

The first game we will be going over is the only game on this list based on a movie: The Little Mermaid. In this game, you play as the mermaid Princess Ariel, who must stop the evil sea witch Ursula from taking over the ocean. What’s interesting about this game is that it is one of many games developed from a partnership between Disney and Capcom. The biggest difference between this game and other Disney games on the NES is the fact that The Little Mermaid is an underwater action game.

Goof Troop (SNES):

The second game on our list is based on the popular Disney Afternoon show Goof Troop. In this exciting game, you must help Disney icon Goofy and his son Max save their friends from hordes of pirates who are holding them prisoner. Will you be able to defeat the pirates and free Goofy and Max’s pals? There’s only one way to find out. This is definitely an interesting game to add. Despite years of covering Disney IPs before joining Cloud Dosage, I didn’t realize that Goof Troop received a game, let alone a title on the SNES!

Bonkers SNES gameplay screenshot

Bonkers (SNES):

The final game on our list is based on another hit Disney afternoon show, Bonkers. In this side-scrolling platformer, you play as Bonkers D. Bobcat (don’t worry, there is no relation to Bubsy the Bobcat) who never does what is expected. Bonkers is on the hunt as three treasures have been stolen (all of which are iconic Disney items), so it’s up to Bonkers, who must face old and new enemies as he returns the treasures back to their rightful owners. This game sounds like an interesting concept and is one I’m definitely interested in.
