Antstream Arcade, the retro gaming cloud gaming service with over 1300 games, has added two brand-new games developed for classic microcomputers from the 1980s. We have one game from Atari 8-bit computers and one from the widely beloved ZX Spectrum. Let’s review these two games and whether or not they are worth playing.
Centipede (Atari 8-bit):
Let’s start this list with the age-old home computer conversion of an arcade classic Centipede. The inclusion of this game on Antstream Arcade shouldn’t be a surprise as we here at Cloud Dosage have reported on multiple versions of Centipede being added to Antstream Arcade. This is largely due to Atari and Antstream having a strong partnership, which saw Atari acquire a 10% stake in Antstream Arcade. Centipede is your classic high-score arcade shooter, only this version has been developed for home computers. This game is an option if you want to check it out, but I would personally recommend the arcade original which is also on Antstream.
The Lords Of Midnight (ZX Spectrum):
The second game on our list is one that I’m not too familiar with, The Lords of Midnight, which was developed for ZX Spectrum. The land of Midnight is in danger of falling into the control of Doomdark, the Witchking. You must lead the forces of the Free against him. You play as multiple characters in this strategy game. This is a game I’m going to add to my list of games to play on Antstream Arcade.
