Antstream Arcade Adds Two Homebrew NES Games

Antstream Arcade Banner - A purple-haired girl is immersed in some retro gaming on Antstream Arcade, with various pixel-art game characters from classic NES titles in the background.

Antstream Arcade, the retro gaming cloud gaming service that has the biggest retro games catalog, has added two brand new NES games to its library. Both of these games are homebrew and were developed by developers decades after the NES left production. In this article, we will go over both games and give you the basics so you can decide if either is worth playing.

Kubo 3 NES

Kubo 3 (NES):

The first game on our list is the action-adventure game Kubo 3. In this game, you must help Kubo rescue the villagers who have been kidnapped by the evil Moglar; you must collect four sacred crystals in order to defeat Moglar and save the villagers. This is a game I have a little experience with, as I played it on the Evercade line of retro game consoles. This is definitely a fun game and worth checking out if you have an Antstream subscription.

Desert Of The Undead NES

Desert Of The Undead (NES):

The second new game on Antstream is the run-and-gun platforming game Desert of the Undead. In this game, you play as John Maverick, who must protect his family from the zombies in the desert after the apocalypse happens. This game is a fast-paced run-and-gun platformer; it is also one of the most recent games to be released, as this game only released during 2024. It’s definitely worth checking out if you enjoy games like Mega Man.
