Antstream Arcade, the retro gaming cloud service with over 1,300 games, has today added two more games to its massive library. The games come from Atari 8-Bit computers and the Amstrad CPC, which are two of the more classic platforms from which Antstream Arcade streams games. So, let’s go over these two games and whether or not I think you should check them out.
Boulder Dash 2: Rockford’s Revenge (Atari 8-Bit Computers):
The first game we are going to go over is the sequel to the cult classic game Boulder Dash. In Boulder Dash II: Rockford’s Revenge you take control of the legendary Rockford once again as you return to the caverns full of crystals and continue your mining adventures. This legendary game in the puzzle-platforming genre first hit the gaming market back in 1985. With upgraded graphics and cover art that mimics Indiana Jones, this game is a must-play for fans of retro computers or for gamers who want to get into the Boulder Dash franchise.
Deliverance Stormlord 2 (Amstrad CPC):
The second game on our list is the Amstrad CPC version of the video game Deliverance Stormlord 2. In this exciting sequel, the story takes place after the defeat of the Black Queen and the demonic invasion from the first game. However, despite defeating the Black Queen, her followers combine their powers to capture all the fairies. You now must save all the fairies once again as you go through six levels from Hell all the way up to Heaven. If you were a fan of the first Stormlord game, then I recommend checking this one out.
Final Thoughts:
It’s great to see Antstream continuously providing new games to its platform. It is also great to know that Antstream is working on offering games from microcomputers, as these systems tend to be overlooked when retro game compilations get released. I look forward to seeing what other games we will see hit Antstream Arcade in the coming months.
