The games in question include one homebrew game for the ZX Spectrum and the other from the Atari 2600. So let’s go over these games, and you can decide if either of these games will be worth your time.
Shovel Adventure (ZX Spectrum)
The first game on our list is the 2021 ZX Spectrum homebrew game Shovel Adventure. In this game, you join Johnny Palas, who is a legendary archaeologist from Utera, on a thrilling quest to uncover hidden gems, seize the Key of Life, and escape through the ancient exit. This game screams to me that it is made for fans of popular franchises like Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider. Obviously, it’s a lot smaller in scale than those series, but Shovel Adventure seems like a great game.
Alien Holocaust II: Invasion Earth (Atari 2600)
In this game, you take the role of the invading alien forces from the first Alien Holocaust game series. Your mission? To dominate the planet Earth with a massive slew of troops and destroy humans and their weapons. This is the second Alien Holocaust game on Antstream Arcade, and it was also developed for the Atari 2600 and released in 2023. If you’re a fan of the first game in the series, then I would highly recommend checking out this game on Antstream Arcade.
