Antstream Arcade had a strong 2024 which included launching the cloud gaming platform on several new hardware platforms as well as the high-profile launch of some big-name games. Antstream Arcade CEO Steve Cottam has posted a blog on Antstream’s website (which you can view here) about Antstream’s achievements from 2024 and some of the plans for 2025.

Antstream Celebrates Platform Expansion In 2024:

The first thing this article tells us is Antstream had a successful debut on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 game consoles, this was arguably Antstream’s biggest debut in 2024, although I’d argue their iOS debut was bigger. The reason I suggest iOS was bigger is largely due to device sales when compared with PlayStation consoles, however, both debuts have clearly been widely successful for Antstream which is looking to bolster its availability on even more devices in 2025.

Some Big Games Arrived On Antstream In 2024:

Now let’s go over some of the huge games which debut on Antstream in 2024. Of the three major debuts, the bigger one was clearly the debut of Disney Games on the platform which brought classic games based on The Jungle Book, The Lion King and Aladdin. The second major debut of 2024 was the debut of Net Yaroze games and the third major debut was that of Factor 5 which brought a number of games in the Turrican series to Antstream. In the Antstream article, Mr Cottam mentions 2025 is going to include more indie games including more titles from Net Yaroze, but also mentions some “Bigger IP” games which has me excited to see what Antstream brings to the table in 2025.

Antstream’s Plans For 2025 Revealed:

The last part of this blog post discussed what Antstream’s goals for 2025 which include the previously mentioned “Bigger IP” games and more titles in the Net Yaroze line of indie games on Antstream, as well as rolling out the service to more devices. They have also teased new “Social Channels” which could mean they’ll also be moving to platforms like Blue Sky or its a new feature within the service as well as appearing at new events with industry partners and new game systems such as the Pico-8 to appear on Antstream. The first Pico-8 game is already available and is called Puzzles Of The Paladin. However, Antstream has announced some games will be leaving their platform including five games from developer Cave Interactive, although Antstream has promised to work on bringing these games back.

Antstream has had an interesting 2024 and it looks like 2025 is going to be just as crazy for Antstream.
