KOEI TECMO and Gust have announced the digital release of Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The collection will launch on November 13. It will bring together the full “Secret” trilogy with new content, additional playable characters, side stories, and gameplay improvements.
The trilogy includes enhanced DX versions of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, and Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key. These games were originally released between 2019 and 2023. The trilogy follows the summer adventures of alchemist Reisalin Stout (Ryza) and her friends as they grow, explore mysterious ruins, and face existential threats to their island and world.
Changes in the Deluxe Pack
Each game in the collection will feature new playable characters and original episodes expanding on the storylines:
- In Atelier Ryza DX, characters like Agatha, Kilo, and Romy become playable. New events, such as Kilo and Bos’s encounter in the Underworld, tie the narrative between the first and second games.
- Atelier Ryza 2 DX adds Empel and Lila as playable characters. It includes a new scenario set in the capital, along with a map expansion and further development of the Underworld storyline.
- Atelier Ryza 3 DX continues with Ryza’s final summer journey. It introduces Clifford, Serri, and Kilo as playable characters and adds a new story. This follows Clifford and Serri after they separate from Ryza. An additional event explores the deepening relationship between Kilo and Bos. Players can uncover a new island filled with ruins.
Across all three titles, players can expect quality-of-life enhancements. These include:
- Custom Combat Mode, allowing players to select enemy combinations and difficulty.
- New exploration features arise, such as Fi assisting in ruin navigation in Ryza 2. Ryza 3 introduces the Wind Beast mount, which auto-collects resources.
- Included DLC, like swimsuits, maps, and recipes, now accessible by default.
- Save data bonuses, offering returning players helpful in-game items.
Language support will vary slightly across the titles. Ryza 1 and 3 will feature Japanese voiceover with English text only. Ryza 2 will include both English and French subtitles.
It’s worth noting that the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions are separate purchases. These do not support save data transfers between them.
