RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is shaping up to be more than just a visual upgrade. Atlus has shared new details on returning characters, demon lineups, and the revamped progression systems powering this supernatural action RPG.

Set to launch on June 19, 2025, the remaster will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. It brings back the original’s stylish Taisho-era setting along with over 120 demons, new Summoner Skills, and deeper customization for both Raidou and his allies. Whether you played the original on PS2 or are jumping in for the first time, this version looks to expand on the original’s foundation in meaningful ways.

New Faces and Familiar Fiends

Atlus has lifted the curtain on several of the characters you’ll encounter in RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. From underworld connections to military deserters, each plays a key role in Raidou’s latest case.

  • Kenzo Satake is the well-liked young leader of the Kanto Haguro Family. Known around Senju-ku for keeping the peace, he’s one of Raidou’s most reliable contacts.
  • Sadakichi is an army deserter trying to expose the secret “Super Soldier Project.” Laid-back on the surface, but maybe not so simple underneath.
  • Kiyoshi Daidouji, uncle to Kaya and heir to a declining textile business, seems worried about her disappearance—but his motives might not be so pure.
  • The Hell’s Pawns are strange, powerful figures tied to the abduction of Kaya and the Super Soldier Project.
  • Red Cape is an urban legend turned real threat—rumoured to abduct or attack people at random across the Capital.

On the demon side, over 50 new demons have been added to the game, bringing the total to more than 120. You’ll spot familiar faces from Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance joining the lineup.

Summoner Skills, Demon Loyalty, and More Customization

Combat in RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army isn’t just about reflexes—it’s about how you build your team. Atlus shared new details on Summoner Skills, demon customization, and how loyalty plays into progression.

Raidou can now learn Summoner Skills through weapons using a system called Sword Alchemy. These skills come in two types:

  • Combat Skills, which can be equipped and swapped during battle
  • Sword Skills, which apply passively when equipped

The more weapons you craft, the more skills you can unlock—so collecting materials is key. Some skills boost defense, while others unleash powerful attacks, making your build choices matter in every encounter.

Your allied demons can also learn and master their own Combat and Passive Skills. Skills are acquired through grinding, fusion, or skill books—which let you teach specific abilities over time. Repeated use helps demons master these skills, and they can pass them on through fusion.

Loyalty is another major factor. As demons fight alongside you, their loyalty increases. A fully loyal demon can learn a passive skill and drop useful materials and items. Your overall loyalty total across all demons even determines your rank as a Devil Summoner, unlocking new titles and increasing your demon capacity. You can even display your favourite title in-game.
