Atomfall Has Had a Very Successful Launch
Rebellion has announced that their new open-world FPS title, Atomfall, has surpassed over 1.5 million players since its launch.
Over 1 million players played the game on the first weekend alone, making it the most successful game launch in Rebellion’s history. Considering the game was also a day addition to Xbox Game Pass, these are certainly some impressive numbers.
“We are delighted that so many players are enjoying Atomfall,” said Jason Kingsley CBE, CEO and co-founder of Rebellion. “To have surpassed the one million players in such a short space of time speaks volumes for the creativity and dedication of the entire team here at Rebellion. Our size and stability mean that we can take risks to create something as different as Atomfall. Happily, that risk is paying off.
“We are a British company, and the game is a true reflection of that. Not only is it set in the lush, beautiful countryside but Atomfall also draws inspiration from so many classic British books, films and TV series,” continued Jason.
“We hope that players continue to enjoy exploring the world of Atomfall and are looking forward to future content for the game.”
Rebellion has also shared some stats for the game. Over 316,000 gamers have killed the scientist at the start of the game. Gamers have gone wild for the cricket bat, raking up 3.7 million kills with that particular weapon. Gaming is also thirsty work, over 300,000 cups of tea have been drunk in the game and over 4 million pasties consumed!
Atomfall is also available to play on a range of cloud gaming services. This includes GeForce NOW and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
