Better xCloud Developer Previews Official Xbox Remote Play

xCloud Remote Play

Better xCloud developer @redphx has provided an early look at the official Remote Play functionality for Xbox through the Xbox Cloud Gaming website. This feature allows users to stream their own Xbox console remotely via a web browser. Similar to Remote Play functionality available on the Xbox app for mobile and PC.

The feature is currently in an experimental phase and can be tested by enabling the Better xCloud browser extension. Users who have the plugin installed and activated can access the Remote Play option within the Xbox Cloud Gaming interface.

While Microsoft has not officially announced Remote Play support for the cloud gaming site, this early preview suggests that it could be releasing soon. Unlike the existing Remote Play feature in Better xCloud, this implementation is part of Microsoft’s official infrastructure. The Better xCloud plugin has been a valuable tool for adding features and improving the Xbox Cloud Gaming experience.
