Black Ops 6 Season 5: Multiplayer, Zombies & Warzone Updates

Season 5 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone officially goes live on August 7. It brings a wide range of new content across multiplayer, zombies, and battle royale modes. From new maps and weapons to returning gameplay features and operators, the update sets the stage for a packed summer season.

Four New Multiplayer Maps and Modes

The multiplayer side of Black Ops 6 introduces four maps, including Runway, Exchange, and World Motor Dynasty (W.M.D.). Jackpot arrives later in the season. A mix of modes both familiar and fresh will be available throughout the season. At launch, players can jump into Aim High, Snipers Only, and Cranked Moshpit. The mid-season update adds Cranked Demolition and Blueprint Gunfight.

A new Combat Bow Scorestreak will also arrive mid-season, offering explosive arrows for close-range havoc. Ranked Play returns with fresh rewards, including new seasonal Rank Camo unlocks.

Zombies Storyline Concludes

In Zombies, Season 5 brings The Reckoning, the final chapter of the ongoing storyline. The battle reaches Janus Towers as tensions between Richtofen and S.A.M. escalate. A new Wonder Weapon, the Gorgofex, combines insect and fungal abilities. It forms a pistol-sized threat with both direct and antigravity effects.

Grief Arenas offer new competitive options at launch. Directed Mode and Team Cranked will roll out mid-season. Mister Peeks joins the fight with a new Field Upgrade, and the Combat Bow also becomes a Support Weapon in zombies mode.

Warzone Gets New LTM and Stadium Contract

Warzone players can return to Verdansk with a new multistep contract inside the Stadium. Two limited-time modes are coming: Stadium Resurgence, where squadmates can be bought back mid-match, and Deadline. In Deadline, the lowest-scoring team is eliminated as time progresses. A new Satellite Hijack Contract adds another objective-based twist to the gameplay.

Both Battle Royale and Resurgence Ranked Play modes will see seasonal updates, including new competitive rewards.

On the cosmetic side, the Battle Pass introduces new Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, and more. The pass is led by Lawrence Sims, with BlackCell featuring Solace as its central character. Additional bundles include The Replacer and The Fisherman from I Know What You Did Last Summer.
