NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW service created quite the kerfluffle this week when it announced it was adding 100 hour per month play limits to the (newly coined) Performance tier and Ultimate tiers. Boosteroid, GeForce NOW’s biggest competitor, in the cloud gaming space is taking this opportunity to pounce!
Boosteroid offers a service similar to GeForce NOW but is widely acclaimed for providing access to top games that are not available on NVIDIA’s service like God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West and Red Dead Redemption 2.
New Commitments from Boosteroid
Boosteroid’s CEO has just put out a statement saying they will NOT add play limits. The capitalization and bolding on the word “NOT” actually come from the CEO himself:
We’ve received many questions about possible playtime limits on Boosteroid. Let me address this directly: we will NOT introduce any limits. As a gamer myself, the idea of restricting playtime simply doesn’t sit right with me.
Ivan Shvaichenko, Boosteroid CEO
Not only are they committed to avoiding play limits, but Boosteroid is taking the opportunity to attract new customers via a huge deal!
From now until December 1, you can subscribe to a Boosteroid Ultra annual membership for just €7.49 a month! That is about half the normal cost.
Boosteroid’s Ultra tier is actually their one and only tier these days. It gives you access to the following spec-ed server blade in the cloud:
- GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB GDDR6
- CPU: AMD EPYC Zen 4
- RAM: DDR5 28GB
This tier supports 4K streaming at up to 120FPS and power well beyond that of the newly released PS5 Pro console.
