Cloud Gaming service Boosteroid has completed its 4K roll out to North America. Not only that, they’ve gone ahead and removed their previous “standard” subscription tier – going all in on the new 4K capable servers. They now offer only a single subscription tier that is labeled: “ULTRA”
The tier supports streaming up to 4K and 120FPS with AMD Ray Tracing and FSR AI Frame Generation support.
No matter where you are in the world, you’ll be paying in € (Euros) – €14.89 a month or €79.89 for a 6 month commitment. At current exchange rates, this comes to about $16.50 – just make sure you use a card that doesn’t charge you foreign transaction fees! This undercuts NVIDIA GeForce NOW’s Ultimate tier price by a few dollars per month.
New Ultra Tier Specs
The new Ultra tier gives you access to the following spec-ed server blade in the cloud:
- CPU: AMD EPYC Zen 4
- RAM: DDR5 28GB
- GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB GDDR6
Boosteroid is officially an AMD house. It’s possible that, for less demanding games that Boosteroid, is continuing to utilize its older server hardware but you should be landing on some impressive servers more often than not.
Boosteroid is one of our favorite cloud gaming services! It has access to a number of games that other services don’t (e.g. Helldivers 2) because it offers both a managed cloud gaming library as well as a Cloud PC like solution.
