Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Officially Revealed at Gamescom, Launching November 14

At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, Activision officially revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The game is set to release worldwide on November 14 across platforms. It features a new cooperative campaign, a large multiplayer lineup, and the return of round-based Zombies.

A Co-Op Campaign Built for Replay

The Black Ops 7 campaign is fully playable solo or with up to four players. Returning characters David Mason and Raul Menendez join newcomers like Emma Kagan in a story spanning diverse locations. These include neon-lit rooftops in Japan, the Mediterranean coast, and even inside the human psyche. Players will also explore Avalon, a sprawling city central to the narrative.

The campaign culminates in Endgame, a large-scale experience. It puts all the player’s earned abilities and skills to the test.

Multiplayer Expands with 18 Maps

At launch, multiplayer includes 16 core 6v6 maps (13 new and three returning from Black Ops 2) and two new large-scale maps. Set in 2035, the arsenal features near-future weapons and gear. Everything is rebuilt for the era.

A new Overclock system allows players to upgrade Scorestreaks, Field Upgrades, and Equipment. This happens the more they use them. Hybrid Combat Specialties expand perks with mix-and-match abilities. Enhanced movement options, such as wall jumps, bring fresh dynamics to combat.

Black Ops 7 also introduces Skirmish, a 20v20 large-scale mode. It includes vehicles, wing suits, grappling hooks, and multi-objective battles across two maps.

Zombies Return with New Twists

Round-Based Zombies mode returns with vehicle gameplay and larger environments. The Dark Aether storyline continues as the Black Ops 6 crew crosses paths with alternate versions of Richtofen, Nikolai, Takeo, and Dempsey.
