With launch just weeks away, developer Sandfall Interactive is keeping the spotlight on the mysterious world of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The team revealed a brand-new trailer focused on Sciel, one of the game’s central characters. The video gives fans a closer look at her role in the story and offers a taste of what to expect from the game’s striking blend of fantasy and surrealism.
The French-developed RPG launches April 24, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (day one on Xbox Game Pass), and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The new trailer comes as part of an ongoing character spotlight series, following recent videos for Gustave, Maelle, and Lune, with one final character—Monoco—set to be featured before launch.
What to Expect at Launch
When Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launches on April 24, it’ll do so with support for a wide range of platforms and features. On PC, you’ll be able to adjust graphics settings across several presets, from Low to Epic, depending on your setup. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, you can choose between a Performance Mode for smoother gameplay or a Quality Mode for higher resolution. If you’re playing on a PS5 Pro, the game will include additional visual enhancements. On Xbox, the game supports Xbox Play Anywhere and is available for preload ahead of launch.
For those who enjoy completionist challenges, the game includes 55 trophies/achievements, with a Platinum trophy available on PlayStation 5. A few examples were revealed this week:

- Overcharge – Use Gustave’s fully charged Overcharge to break an enemy
- Follow the Trail – Collect all expedition logs
- Professional – Defeat a boss without taking any damage
- Connoisseur – Find all 33 music tracks
More achievements are tied to mastering combat mechanics and tackling optional encounters that push your strategy and timing.
Preorders are available now on all platforms, with a 10% discount on the digital edition. A Deluxe Edition is also up for grabs, which includes:
