Last month, Capcom announced that the latest Resident Evil games would be available on the Nintendo Switch via the cloud. The first game announced, already with a release date, was Resident Evil Village. Releasing in just a week, October 28, it already has a demo version available on the eShop. Alongside Village, Capcom also confirmed that Resident Evil VII, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake and, would also release this year on the console with cloud versions.
During today’s Resident Evil Showcase, Capcom has announced the release dates for the cloud version of each game for the Nintendo Switch:
- Resident Evil 2 Remake Cloud – November 11
- Resident Evil 3 Remake Cloud – November 18
- Resident Evil VII Cloud – December 16
It’s also worth mentioning that the Winter’s Expansion DLC for Resident Evil Village will release on December 2. If you’re curious to see how these games run on the Nintendo Switch, make sure to try the free demo of Village. Chances are that all these games will also offer a demo. If you don’t own a Nintendo Switch, remember that most Resident Evil games are also available on the cloud via Amazon Luna and Boosteroid.
