Blizzard has shared the Diablo IV 2025 roadmap, outlining what’s coming next in The Age of Hatred. This year brings new seasonal content, returning bosses, major system updates, and a continued push toward the game’s second expansion, slated for 2026.
The year began with the Season of Witchcraft, where gamers experimented with Witchcraft Powers. Looking ahead, Belial’s Return brings the Lord of Lies back into the spotlight. Sins of the Horadrim explores Sanctuary’s darker history, while Infernal Chaos shakes up the battlefield with even more mayhem.
Alongside seasonal content, Blizzard is introducing permanent updates to core features, including console keyboard and mouse support, changes to the Seasonal Journey, and updates to the Battle Pass. Two yet-to-be-named IP collaborations are also coming this year.
What’s Coming in 2025: Belial, Horadrim, and Infernal Chaos
Blizzard’s roadmap confirms that seasonal content will continue to drive Diablo IV forward in 2025. Each update ties deeper into the spreading corruption of Mephisto, leading up to the next major expansion.
Belial’s Return reintroduces the Lord of Lies in a new Lair Boss system. You’ll face Belial and two bosses from Vessel of Hatred, expanding endgame content with higher-stakes encounters. Sins of the Horadrim focuses on the Nightmare Dungeons. This update introduces new ways to interact with dungeons, offering greater control over their difficulty as you battle Hell’s barons.
Later in the year, Infernal Chaos updates the Infernal Horde. You’ll gain more options between waves, changing how each run plays out. Expect faster pacing, stronger enemies, and more control over your loadout between rounds.
These updates are part of The Age of Hatred’s ongoing narrative arc. Each season builds on the last, pushing toward 2026’s expansion while giving gamers more ways to challenge themselves across Sanctuary.
New Features and System Updates Coming to Diablo IV
Beyond seasonal content, Diablo IV is getting several permanent updates in 2025. These additions aim to improve how you interact with the game across all platforms. One of the biggest changes is keyboard and mouse support for consoles. This long-requested feature will give you another way to play on PlayStation and Xbox, offering more control over your inputs.
Blizzard is also refining progression systems. Both the Battle Pass and Seasonal Journey will receive updates. These changes are designed to make rewards more satisfying and progression feel less repetitive across multiple seasons.
While details are still under wraps, two IP collaborations are on the way. Blizzard hasn’t revealed who they’re working with, but says both collaborations fit well with Diablo IV’s darker themes. More information is expected later this year.
These system updates suggest Blizzard is focused on fine-tuning core features, while still experimenting with new content that keeps Diablo IV evolving between expansions.
The Road to Diablo IV’s Next Expansion Begins
With Belial’s return, evolving dungeon systems, and Infernal Chaos ahead, Diablo IV’s 2025 roadmap sets the stage for a busy year. Blizzard is continuing to expand The Age of Hatred through seasonal content while also addressing core feedback with new features and system changes.
The reveal also hints at bigger surprises to come. The two planned collaborations and steady seasonal updates suggest a clear focus on keeping the game active between expansions. All roads now point toward the second major expansion in 2026.
