Doom: The Dark Ages Might Be the Next Installment in the Franchise

Get ready to Rip and Tear again

Get ready to cleave your way through hordes of unholy beings in a brand-new era, as Doom: The Dark Ages (previously DOOM: Year Zero) prepares to unleash its demonic fury. This latest installment in the iconic franchise, rumored to be unveiled at the upcoming Xbox Showcase, apparently throws you headfirst into a brutal medieval setting, where humanity faces a new and terrifying threat. Could this be a prequel of sorts? Or a different “DOOMSLAYER”?

While details are still scarce, developer id Software will undoubtedly offer a unique blend of classic Doom frenetic action with a fresh historical backdrop. Imagine wielding a flaming battleaxe alongside a trusty shotgun, carving a path through hordes of grotesque, twisted creatures inspired by medieval mythology.

Slaying From the Cloud

Xbox Cloud Gaming

Given that Id Software is a part of Xbox Game Studios, I think it’s a given that this will be playable on Xbox cloud gaming from day one.

The GeForce Now Question Mark

While Xbox Cloud Gaming should be a given, GeForce Now’s inclusion remains to be seen. But Xbox and GeForce Now have a very good partnership. The recent integration of PC Game Pass titles on GeForce Now has opened doors for future collaborations. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II came day one to GeForce Now, which puts other Xbox Game Studio titles in good standing.

Stay tuned for updates on Doom: The Dark Ages’ availability on GeForce Now. In the meantime, slay some demons on the previous entries, all available on Xbox Cloud gaming and others.
