One of the biggest announcements was that CEO of Antstream Steve Cotton announced that Antstream Arcade will launch today on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 line of consoles. This announcement comes after Antstream celebrated a year of the platform being available on Xbox consoles and almost two months after Antstream launched on the popular iOS mobile platform.

Antstream on PlayStation

Beyond new hardware support, Antstream announced a ton of new games!

Worms Pinball (PlayStation One)

The first game on our list is an installment in Team17’s popular Worms franchise, Worms Pinball. In this game, you take on challenges inspired by the previous video games in this pinball take of the popular worms games. This version of this game was released in 1998 for the original PlayStation console. This is an interesting inclusion, since I had no idea that they made a pinball game based on Worms.

Truxton II (Arcade)

The next game on our list is the arcade followup to the beloved Japanese arcade publisher Toaplan. In this vertical shooter originally released in 1992 you play as a duo of fighter pilots who must take control of advance space fighter aircraft and battle the returning Gidens alien race. The inclusion of even more Toaplan games is a brilliant move by Antstream Arcade, as Toaplan are known for creating beloved shmup games. Truxton II is a gem which is perfect for Antstream

Mega Turrican (Sega Mega Drive/Genesis)

The next game on our list comes from relative new publisher on Antstream, Factor 5. In this game you play as Bren McGuire who is on a United Planets Freedom Force mission when his worst nightmare becomes reality as The Machine is rising and the dark forces he once controlled start to reform. You as Bren must run and gun through waves of enemies as you progress through levels.

Risky Woods (Amiga)

This game is an interesting one as it was once published by EA, but that’s obviously no longer the case. In This fantasy 2D platforming game includes shooter elements making it a combination of run and gun gameplay and 2D platforming. This game was also released as Jashin Draxos in Japan which translates to Evil God Draxos. This is definitely an exciting game to add to Antstream, but I’m glad they did.

O.D.T Escape Or Die Trying (PlayStation 1)

The next game on our list is the PlayStation classic video game O.D.T Escape Or Die Trying from popular retro game publisher Piko Interactive In this game, you assume the role of a crew member on an airship which has been charged to deliver a magical pearl to end an epidemic, however, the airship is brought down by hordes of mutants causing you to crash into a mysterious tower. You must battle your way through mutants as you progress through the game world, will you escape or die trying?

Tiger Shark (PlayStation One)

The next game on our list comes from Piko Interactive, and it’s a PlayStation dogfighting game where you play as the experimental prototype aircraft Tiger Shark, who must defeat The Red Menace by destroying their fleet of submarines. This game is set in the futuristic year 2060 when a rogue Russian commander known as The Red Menace plans to sink the entire Pacific by constructing geothermal taps in the ocean. Will you be a skilled enough pilot to stop The Red Menace? find out soon when this game drops on Antstream Arcade.

Motor Mash (PlayStation One)

The next game on our list comes from Piko Interactive again, but this time it’s a more unique title in Motor Mash. In this game, you can play with up to four players as you race in this wacky cartoon racer, try your best to outrace your opponents or knock them off-screen. The last racer standing wins, the longer you last on screen the more credits you earn, run out of credits and you lose! Are you ready to get behind the wheel and win? Make sure you’re ready for this game when it drops on Antstream Arcade.

Puzzles Of The Paladin (Pico-8)

The next game on our list is one of two games coming from the exciting Pico-8 fantasy console, this game is Puzzles Of The Paladin. In this game, you play as a young hero who dreams of becoming a respected Paladin and embarks on a quest to test his strength and wisdom. This is definitely an interesting inclusion on the Antstream platform, and I will be excited to check this game out when it drops on Antstream.

Manbomber (Pico-8)

The next game on our list is the second Pico-8 game, and for fans of the classic Bomberman franchise, this might be the perfect game for you. Manbomber is a multiplayer game where you must blow up bricks and your enemies as you battle to be the king of the arena. Take on your friends and collect powerups in this Pico-8 homage to the classic Bomberman games. This is an appealing addition as the second Pico-8 game confirmed for Antstream, but it is for sure a welcome addition.

Lode Runner Golden Labyrinth (Arcade)

In this arcade classic game from Japanese arcade publisher Irem, you have the objective of collecting all the golden nuggets scattered around the level and avoiding the enemies who want to stop you from stealing the gold for yourself. Digging holes is essential if you want to avoid enemies, who will fall down the holes and die before respawning. Are you a skilled enough Lode Runner to beat this arcade classic? There’s only one way to find out when this game drops on Antstream Arcade!

Mr Do! (Arcade)

The next game on our list comes from SNK, the iconic arcade fighting game publisher, however, this game is a lot more Dig Dug than King Of Fighters. In Mr Go! you have to help Mr Go! collect all the cherries on the screen, however, many bad guys are out to stop Mr Go! from enjoying his cherries. Mr Do! can defend himself in two ways, one way is his Powerball which requires a cooldown after every use, and the other way is to push apples located across the playfield on top of his enemies in order to crush them. Will you be able to collect all the cherries? let us know when this game drops on Antstream Arcade.

The Killing Grounds (Amiga)

The next game on our list is the classic FPS Amiga title, The Killing Grounds. This game is a subseries within the popular Alien Breed franchise published by Team17. In this game, you have sixteen levels to go through as you battle hordes of different aliens and pick up weapon upgrades and ammo as you progress. This game is very much inspired by the early Doom games, as were most FPS games in the 1990s. Will you be blasting through aliens in this game when it drops on Antstream Arcade?

Zero Wing (Arcade)

The final game on our list is Zero Wing, an iconic arcade shmup from the world-class Japanese arcade game publisher Toaplan. In this horizontal shooter, you control ZIG an escape pod which is on the run after its main mothership was destroyed by the evil cyborg CATS who are hellbent on taking over the world. Like most other games in the shmup genres, the weapons in Zero Wing are color-coded with different colors being different weapon types red is scatter, green is homing and blue is lasers. Will you take flight in the ZIG when this game soars onto Antstream Arcade?
