Ubisoft has released a free update for Far Cry 4 that boosts performance to 60 frames per second (FPS) on current generation consoles, including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PS5 Pro. This much-awaited upgrade brings Far Cry 4 to 60 FPS. It significantly enhances the game’s fluidity and visual experience, just in time for its arrival on Game Pass.
Far Cry 4 is scheduled to launch on Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming starting tomorrow. This performance boost will also apply to the cloud version. This allows subscribers to enjoy the updated frame rate even when streaming the game via the cloud.
The game is also currently discounted across multiple digital storefronts:
- Xbox Store: April 20 – May 5
- PlayStation Store: April 23 – May 7
- Ubisoft Store (Legendary Sale): April 29 – May 20
Far Cry 4 remains one of the most chaotic entries in the franchise. It is known for its dynamic open-world action and unpredictable gameplay. With this update, it’s set to make a strong impression on a new wave of players across platforms.
Will you be revisiting Kyrat or experiencing it for the first time with the new 60 FPS boost?
