
Square Enix has announced that Patch 7.3 for Final Fantasy XIV Online, titled The Promise of Tomorrow, will release on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. The update was detailed during the latest broadcast. During this broadcast, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida also debuted a new trailer. This trailer showcases what’s coming in the patch.
Patch 7.3 will continue the main scenario quests introduced in the Dawntrail expansion. Furthermore, it will add a wide variety of new content across PvE, PvP, crafting, and gathering.
Key Additions in Patch 7.3
- Main Scenario Quests: New chapters advancing the overarching story.
- Alliance Raid – Echoes of Vana’diel Part 2: Titled San d’Oria: The Second Walk, this is the next chapter in the ongoing cross-series collaboration.
- Dungeon – The Meso Terminal: A new instanced dungeon with thematic ties to the latest story arc.
- New encounter with Normal and Extreme difficulties.
- Unreal Trial – The Wreath of Snakes (Unreal): A level 100 version of the Seiryu fight from the Four Lords series.
- Treasure Dungeon – Vault Oneiron: A new optional dungeon tied to treasure maps.
- Duty Support Expansion: The Cutter’s Cry will be added to the supported duties list.
- PvP Update: Launch of PvP Series 9 with balance changes, new ranked tiers, and a new Crystalline Conflict arena named Bayside Battleground.
- Other: New chat bubble features, changes to Phoenix Down usability, enhancements to Group Pose, and more.
