First Look at Dead Reset: Wales Interactive’s Next Interactive Horror Game

Wales Interactive, the indie masters behind Late Shift, The Complex, and Five Dates, have just pulled back the curtain on their next terrifying FMV games — and it’s easily their bloodiest yet. Their latest horror foray, titled Dead Reset promises chills aplenty.

Enter Dead Reset: a sci-fi horror thriller set deep underwater, where you take on the role of Cole Mason — a surgeon caught in a nightmarish death loop often found in FMV games. Abducted and trapped in a submerged facility, Cole is forced to perform gruesome surgery on a shifting, parasitic organism. With each brutal death, you come back… but what you come back as might be worse than not returning at all.

Developed in collaboration with the horror minds at Dark Rift Horror (Book of Monsters, How to Kill Monsters), Dead Reset blends the choice-driven DNA of Wales Interactive’s best FMV games with the splatter-heavy sensibility of grindhouse horror. Think The Bunker meets Returnal with a touch of Event Horizon — then crank up the blood and moral dread.

The game promises four distinct endings, a trust system that tracks your shifting relationships, and a Streamer Mode that removes time limits for audience-driven chaos, making it one of the most interactive FMV games. Wales Interactive isn’t just pushing boundaries here — they’re slicing through them with a scalpel.

Stay tuned to Cloud Dosage for a deeper dive soon. We’ve got the press kit, we’ve got the loop, and we’re already not okay.

Renier Palland

Renier is a jack of all trades and a master of some. A published author and poet, Renier understands the art of weaving a narrative, or so the critics say. As a professional overreactor and occasional debater of existentialist philosophy, Renier thrives on games where choices actually matter, e.g. Life Is Strange, Mass Effect, and Heavy Rain. Renier often finds himself in a game of throes on GeForce NOW, sobbing like a Sicilian widow because life is definitely way too strange sometimes.
