The Delay Comes One Day Before FragPunk Was Set To Launch

The team behind the upcoming free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter, FragPunk, has announced that the console versions of the game have been delayed.

It comes just one day before the game was set to launch; the PC version will launch on March 6th as scheduled.

The reason for the delay is that the console versions of the game faced challenges in ‘optimization and adaptation.’ These issues were unexpected and occurred during the console compliance testing process.

Those who have pre-ordered a paid version of the game on console will be receiving full refunds. Pre-order bonuses will also not be missed as these will be available for a limited time after the game launches on console.

Compensation will also be provided, with all rewards from Season 1 being given to console players when the game launches. Console players will also receive $10 worth of in-game credit, again when the console version launches.

FragPunk was first shown off at the Xbox 2024 showcase. It is set to be a fresh new take on the 5v5 hero shooter genre. It utilizes a card system in order to add unpredictable events to each game.
