FuturLab has announced that it will cease active support for PowerWash Simulator VR, the VR version of its popular cleaning title.
In a statement, FuturLab CEO Kirsty Rigden stated that the VR version of the game was losing the company money. Due to this, they have decided to move the dedicated VR team to other roles at FuturLab. This move will help secure job security for the team.
PowerWash Simulator VR will remain on sale along with any DLC currently released for that version. However, no further updates or content will be added for the VR version.
As someone who recently delved into the world of VR with a Meta Quest 3S (and is loving it) this is disappointing yet understandable news.
I’m glad the game will stay on sale as PowerWash Simulator VR is on my wishlist.
