It Is Almost Time To Rev Up Those Chainsaws
The launch day of Gears of War: Reloaded is almost upon us.
For veteran Gears of War fans, it will be a chance to experience a definitive edition of one of Xbox’s most iconic franchises.
However, for the first time, PlayStation gamers will also be able to experience the Gears franchise as the game will be releasing day one on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. The game is even enhanced for the PS5 Pro.
Ahead of the game’s launch, The Coalition has released details on the improvements it has made to the game. These improvements were made based on community feedback and observations from the game’s multiplayer beta, which took place a short time ago.
A nice addition is also the confirmation that Gears of War: Reloaded will also be verified for the Steam Deck, and also optimised for the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X.

General Stability Improvements
Cross-platform improvements
- You can now clearly see what platform other players are on via platform icon.
- Linked accounts are easier to spot, so you’ll know who you can add as cross-platform friends.
- Easier to invite players to your squad/game no matter what platform they’re on.
Gnasher Improvements
- Tighter spread, improved damage and hit registration
- Active Reload damage is now fixed (instead of variable) across all weapons.
Matchmaking improvements
- More dedicated servers & scaled up online services
- Cross-platform “Squads” Matchmaking Improvements
PC Improvements
- Added 240 fps framerate settings option
- Added Push-to-talk voice-chat support
- Improved Ultrawide monitor support
- Increased Mouse Sensitivity Control
- Optimizations for improved gameplay smoothness
