GeForce NOW has been able to achieve a large global presence by partnering with local internet providers and datacenters in various regions on co-branded GFN offerings. It looks like GeForce NOW is now taking its first steps into India – a massive market with a population of over 1 billion people.
According to 91 Mobiles, NVIDIA GeForce NOW is partnering with Jio, an Indian tele-communications company, to bring the service to the country. The service is already available to select customers on set-top boxes.
Jio also already provides its own standalone cloud gaming service for the country, but the addition of GFN will significantly increase the catalog.
Moving into India could increase the population GeForce NOW is available to by over 25% – and would likely cement its position as a leader in cloud gaming.
