Version Luna I also comes with a generous anniversary celebration. Free Primogems, a 5-star character of your choice, and other rewards make this a great moment to jump in. And with cross-progression across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Android, and iOS, you can also continue your adventure in the cloud on Boosteroid, GeForce NOW, PlayStation Cloud Gaming, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Story and the Land of Nod-Krai
In Genshin Impact Version Luna I, you’ll head north into Nod-Krai, a long-awaited region made up of three island territories. The new Archon Quests drop you straight into a conflict with the Fatui, the Wild Hunt, and the Harbinger Sandrone, also known as “Marionette.” As the Fatui scheme to claim the moon’s power, you’ll meet new allies who shed light on Nod-Krai’s history and its deeper connection to Teyvat.
Nod-Krai also ties back to a familiar face. Columbina, once the Fatui Harbinger “The Damselette,” has returned home. Here, locals revere her as the Moon Maiden, and she may grant you blessings along the way. Her presence adds another layer to the story, mixing returning characters with new challenges that shape this chapter into a new chapter in the story.
Exploring Nod-Krai means learning to work with Kuuvahki, an elemental force that runs through the land itself. You’ll see it in plants, mechanisms, and even enemies, all tied to lunar energy. With the new Kuuhenki form, you can glide along Moonlanes and patches of mist, opening up new ways to move around. Kuuvahki also comes into play in combat, powering up special Lunar Reactions for certain characters and giving you reasons to experiment with different strategies.
With its mix of conflicts, new lore, and exploration systems, Nod-Krai looks like the next big step for Genshin Impact’s world. The blend of story quests and new mechanics gives you plenty of reasons to explore every corner once the region arrives.

Companions, Daily Lives, and Big Upgrades
Genshin Impact Version Luna I adds three new companions from Nod-Krai. Lauma, a five-star Catalyst user, brings the new Lunar-Bloom reaction with her Dendro powers. She can generate Verdant Dew to boost Bloom-related damage and even transform into a half-human, half-deer form for agile movement. Flins, a five-star Polearm wielder, channels Electro into Lunar-Charged strikes, letting you choose between a powerful single blow or a storm of spear attacks. As a Lightkeeper, he can also hear the whispers of the Wild Hunt while exploring. Aino, a four-star Hydro Claymore user, adds playful new interactions with her inventions, including the duck-shaped device ‘Knuckle Duckle‘. You can recruit her for free by progressing through the new Archon Quests.
Outside of battle, the new Meeting Points feature lets you spend time in your companions’ daily lives. You can revisit the Frostmoon Scions with Lauma, explore Aino’s Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop, or learn the stories of the Lightkeepers at Flins’s home. Event Wishes will spotlight the newcomers, with Lauma arriving first, followed by Flins and Aino later in the update.
Version Luna I also includes several quality-of-life changes. Adventure EXP can now be earned through more activities, harvestable materials are added to the Battle Pass, and extra slots make party setup easier. Artifacts can be previewed before unlocking their affix, giving you more control over builds. A new item, Masterless Stella Fortuna, even lets you convert extra five-star Stella Fortuna to push characters all the way to Level 100.
Looking ahead, HoYoverse also shared the new Miliastra Wonderland Gameplay Trailer, showcasing several creative UGC stages coming in Version Luna II.
