Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced Ghost of Yōtei Legends, a free DLC launching in 2026 for all players who own Ghost of Yōtei. The announcement was made during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Here, a short trailer for both the game and the DLC was shown.
Similar to Ghost of Tsushima’s Legends mode, this expansion will introduce a supernatural co-op experience. It contrasts with the game’s grounded historical setting. Players will be able to take on story missions in pairs. They can also join survival battles with up to four players, each choosing from four unique classes. Enemies include demonic and colossal versions of the Six of Yōtei.
Set 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone experience. It takes place in rural 17th-century Japan. The story follows Atsu, a vengeful mercenary. Atsu roams the harsh landscapes of northern Japan in pursuit of those who murdered her family.
