A Planned ‘Definitive Edition’ of Hogwarts Legacy Has Also Been Scrapped
Warner Bros. Games has officially cast Avada Kedavra on a planned DLC for Hogwarts Legacy. It has also scrapped a planned ‘definitive edition’ of the game.
Bloomberg has reported that this was partly due to a restructuring at the company. They also added that sources close to the project said it was also due to a concern over lack of content. Adding that Warner Bros. Games did not feel there was enough content to justify the cost and price being looked at.
Insider Gaming has also reported on the news and they have stated that the DLC would have added around 10-15 hours of extra content to the game.
They have also said that Avalanche Software, the studio behind the original, is now full steam ahead on the sequel title.
It should not really come as much surprise that this is case as Hogwarts Legacy was a massive success. The game shifted over 30 million copies globally. It has also remained a top selling title since its launch.
Warner Bros. Games canelling project may not come as much of a surpise to some. Just recently they cancelled the planned Wonder Woman game and also closed down three studios.
