HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed Has Its Sights Set on PlayStation

Digital Cybercherries has announced that their action figure-based shooter, HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed, will launch on PlayStation 4 & 5 on May 30th.

It will feature full cross-platform play with the PC and Xbox versions of the game. The game was confirmed as coming to PlayStation consoles last month.

The developer has also confirmed on their TikTok account that the game has been wishlisted by over 100,000 players on PlayStation platforms since it was announced.

HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed is inspired by classic movies such as Toy Story and Small Soldiers. In either first or third person, players take on the role of an action figure. Players must take on waves of weaponised toys as they aim to defend the Hypercore.

It features a full-story campaign mode that can be played offline or with up to 4 players in online co-op. Split-screen play is also supported.

Key features of the game will include:

  • 1-4 player online/local co-op.
  • Full  split-screen support including online/local.
  • Single player/offline play with player bots.
  • Difficulty  scales based on the number of players.
  • Wave-based shooter with story campaign.
  • Classic PvP game modes. (up to eight players)
