INAZUMA ELEVEN: Victory Road finally has a release date—and a few surprises, too. LEVEL-5 has confirmed that the long-awaited next entry in the series will launch worldwide on August 21, 2025. A few new platforms are also joining the roster.

Originally announced for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, the game will also release on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. Support for Cross-Save means you can carry your progress across systems, giving fans the flexibility to play wherever they want.

The news was shared during LEVEL-5’s recent HEROES SHOWCASE 2025. The 19-minute Final Specs Trailer also revealed game features, pre-order bonuses, and a new look at the huge cast.

New Story, Massive Roster, and Guest-Voiced Choices

In Victory Road, you’ll follow a brand-new story starring Destin Billows, the latest lead in the INAZUMA ELEVEN series. Early on, you’ll be asked to pick five out of ten guest-voiced characters to join your team. The twist? The ones you don’t choose won’t show up again until the end of the game. It’s a small but meaningful way to shape your playthrough from the start.

If you’ve played previous entries, you’ll want to dive into Chronicle Mode, which lets you recruit over 5,200 characters from across the series. It’s the biggest roster yet, packed with familiar faces, deep cut favourites, and more ways to build the team you want.

Online tournaments will also be part of the mix, giving you a chance to test your squad against others and keep the competition going after the story ends.

And yes—this one’s got guest appearances too. One of them is Olive Mapleton, a café owner voiced by Akane, choreographer of avantgardey. From story to side characters, it feels like Victory Road is aiming for a full-on celebration of the series.

Platforms, Pre-Orders, and a Few Extras

Victory Road is coming to more systems than originally planned. Alongside PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, the game is now also headed to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. It also supports Cross-Save, so you can switch between platforms without losing progress. More info on how it’ll run on Switch 2 is expected closer to launch.

Pre-orders go live on April 11 at 13:00 GMT for most platforms (Switch versions will follow later). Anyone who pre-orders will get the Advanced Booster Bundle, which includes the Bracelet of Victory—a gear item that boosts experience gain—and the Dark Emperors kit from INAZUMA ELEVEN 2, plus a few more bonuses.

There’s also a Deluxe Edition, which comes with some extra perks, including Early Access for players on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. So if you’re eager to jump in a little ahead of schedule, that’s an option too.
