Logitech G Cloud

Logitech is marking the 2nd anniversary of its G Cloud gaming handheld with the release of Software Version 9. This update kicks off with a phased release on November 5, to a portion of users. Ensuring quality control before a full rollout. Here’s a look at the highlights in the new release.

Key Features in Software Version 9

G CLOUD Hub App Launch

The new G Cloud Hub app serves as an interactive portal to stay updated on all things Logitech G. Canadian and US users can access the hub, featuring the latest news, cloud gaming updates, exclusive events, and contests. Expansion to more regions is planned for the future.

1080p Support for Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta)

A significant visual enhancement is coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming (beta). Which now supports 1080p resolution through the pre-installed Progressive Web App (PWA). Gamers can toggle between 1080p and 720p in Labs settings, bringing sharper visuals and a more immersive streaming experience.

Enhanced Screen Recording in Handheld Mode

Screen recording in handheld mode now captures built-in audio by default. With an added option to include microphone input for in-game commentary. This feature provides G CLOUD users with a seamless way to share gameplay moments and engage with audiences.

New Wired Connection Status Indicator

A wired connection status icon now appears in the top-right corner when connected via an Ethernet cable. Offering an at-a-glance update on connectivity status.

With these features, Software Version 9 looks set to enhance the G Cloud experience, celebrating the handheld’s second anniversary with meaningful improvements for users.
