Logitech is preparing a major firmware update for the G Cloud handheld, set to launch on June 24, 2025. The Logitech G Cloud update, version SQ02K.00.0230 (Worldwide) and SQ02K.50.0230 (Europe), was first spotted by Reddit user MrGDion.
Among the highlights is a brand-new launcher experience. It is designed to let users navigate, discover, and launch Xbox Cloud Gaming titles directly from the home interface. This Logitech G Cloud update aims to deliver a more console-like experience. It reduces the steps needed to jump into Xbox titles. I suppose it’ll be something like the Nexus app offers for Razer Kishi users.
Interestingly, this could be the same launcher interface seen on the Chinese variant of the G Cloud. This variant featured a cleaner and more versatile UI. This new update would mark the first time Logitech G Cloud users outside of China gain access to that version of the launcher.
The update also adds official support for Blacknut Cloud Gaming. This gives players access to a library of hundreds of games. Additionally, Blacknut is one of the broader cloud gaming platforms currently expanding in reach.
Additional improvements include:
- General bug fixes
- Performance and stability optimizations
We’ll be keeping an eye on how this new Logitech G Cloud update changes the experience for Xbox and cloud gamers alike. Have you used a G Cloud to play via the cloud? What do you think?
