Amazon Games has released the August update for Lost Ark, titled “Calm Before the Storm”. The update introduces several new features, including the Indigo Island, a Bound Gold System, and changes aimed at enhancing the overall player experience in Arkesia.
Indigo Island
A new area, Indigo Island, is now accessible to players with an item level of 1600 or higher. The island features a quest that leads to the single-player Sea Cave dungeon, which offers three distinct paths. Players can initiate the quest by interacting with the “Someone’s Voice” prompt near the island’s entrance. Completing the dungeon will reward players with “Luminous Coral Stone” and other significant items.
Bound Gold System
The update also introduces a Bound Gold System, designed to provide Gold that can only be used in progression-related activities. This system will replace the Tradeable Gold in certain aspects of the game, including the gold reward chests from Una’s Tokens and Solo Mode Raids. Additionally, the amount of Gold granted by Solo Mode Raids has been increased to better support player progression.
Chaos Dungeon Purification System
Another key addition is the Chaos Dungeon Purification System, which includes a new “Weekly Purification” mission. Players can earn Purification Points by completing Chaos Dungeons with Aura of Resonance active. These points accumulate towards reward chests that replace the previously received Silver and Honor Shards. Players can earn up to 300 Purification Points weekly for maximum rewards.
Chaos Dungeon Purification Event
To coincide with the introduction of the Purification System, a special event will run from August 14 to September 25. During this period, players will receive additional reward chests containing honing materials and Purification Tokens when they reach specific Purification Point milestones.
These updates are part of Amazon Games’ ongoing efforts to improve the gameplay experience and prepare players for future content releases, including the upcoming Tier 4 expansion. The full patch notes can be found in the official blog post here.
