Skydance Games has announced a delay for their upcoming action-adventure game MARVEL 1943: Rise of Hydra. The game was set to launch this year but has now been pushed back until early 2026.
They made the announcement via their official X account. It states that they will take the extra time to give the game more polish.
MARVEL 1943: Rise of Hydra is being developed under the leadership of Amy Hennig, who served as creative director for the Uncharted series up until 2011. Hennig took up her role at Skydance back in 2019. This was after a turbulent time at EA, where she had been working on a Star Wars title for Visceral Games up until the studio’s closure.
MARVEL 1943 was first teased in 2022 at the D23 Expo. We then got more information on the game at GDC 2024, including its full working title alongside the game’s cast.
Back in July 2024, it was also confirmed that Plaion would be serving as the publisher for the game. Other than that, the game has remained a little bit of a mystery.
With the Summer Games Fest just around the corner, there is, of course, the possibility that we see more of the game at one of the scheduled showcases. As always, Cloud Dosage will keep you updated on the latest gaming news.
