NetEase Games has officially unveiled Season 1: Eternal Night Falls for Marvel Rivals. This new season brings new heroes, maps, and game modes to the action-packed PvP shooter. Starting January 10, 2025, you can step into the eternal night as the Fantastic Four join the ever-expanding roster of heroes and villains.
New Heroes and High-Stakes Battles
Season 1 introduces a wealth of new content to Marvel Rivals. The Fantastic Four make their debut as playable characters, released in two phases over the three-month season. Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic arrive first, followed by Human Torch and The Thing in the second half. Each member brings unique abilities that expand the strategic options for your team.
You can also explore three new maps set in the darkened streets of New York City. Sanctum Sanctorum and Midtown are available early in the season, with Central Park arriving later. In addition to new maps, the season adds the Doom Match game mode, a high-stakes free-for-all where 8 to 12 players from different factions battle for supremacy. Points are earned by eliminating opponents, with only the top 50% emerging victorious.
A Supernatural Struggle in Eternal Night
Eternal Night Falls plunges New York into darkness after Dracula and Doctor Doom disrupt the moon’s orbit. With Doctor Strange trapped in the Entangled Astral Plane and the Darkhold’s pages scattered, an army of vampiric creatures overruns the city. It’s up to the Fantastic Four and their allies to combine science and superpowers to restore the light.
The season’s narrative brings together iconic Marvel characters and locations, crafting a supernatural story filled with high-stakes battles. Dracula’s legions roam freely, and every hero must step up to push back the darkness.
