Marvel Games and NetEase Games have unveiled the Spring Festival event for Marvel Rivals. Launching January 23, 2025, at 9 AM UTC, the event introduces new content, including a limited-time game mode, customization rewards, and exclusive costumes.
Clash of Dancing Lions Game Mode
The centerpiece of the Spring Festival is the new Clash of Dancing Lions mode. This 3v3 limited-time game mode offers a new take on team-based gameplay. In this mode, teams battle to control a ball and score in opposing zones on a specialized map. The first team to reach the target score wins. This football / soccer inspired mode adds fast-paced action and encourages teamwork in a new way.
Clash of Dancing Lions tests your positioning, coordination, and reflexes as you compete to outplay opponents and score points. This mode is designed to provide a balanced experience for both experienced players and newcomers.
Fortune & Colors Customization Event
Another highlight of the Spring Festival is the Fortune & Colors event. By completing tasks, you can earn unique rewards only available during the event. These include the Star-Lord: Lion’s Mane costume, themed sprays, nameplates, and other cosmetic items.
This event highlights the new mode and other activities, offering multiple chances to earn exclusive customization items available for a limited time.
New Costumes from the Clashing Lions Series
Three costumes from the Clashing Lions series will debut during the festival: Star-Lord: Lion’s Mane, Iron Fist: Lion’s Gaze, and Black Widow: Lion’s Heartbeat. Each costume features lion-inspired designs that reflect the festival’s theme, blending traditional motifs with the heroes’ iconic styles.
Star-Lord’s outfit sports a flowing lion’s mane design, while Iron Fist’s costume emphasizes his martial arts background with lion-emblazoned armour. Black Widow’s look incorporates subtle lion patterns symbolizing her precision and agility. These outfits will be released in stages, giving players something new to look forward to throughout the event.
Celebrating Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC
As part of the festivities, Marvel Rivals will release a special Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bundle for PC on January 30, 2025. The bundle includes the Advanced Suit 2.0 costume, spray, and nameplate. This suit blends Otto Octavius’s science with Peter Parker’s ingenuity, designed for the toughest battles. It showcases Spider-Man’s resilience and ingenuity, embodying his commitment to overcoming challenges as a hero.
