Here’s what to expect from both the MARVEL Tōkon demo and the FlexStrike showcase.
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Playable at Evo 2025
Fighting game fans at Evo 2025 will be the first to try MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, the upcoming 4v4 tag team fighter from Arc System Works, Marvel Games, and PlayStation Studios. The demo will be available all weekend long at the Arc System Works booth.
The hands-on experience supports a range of controller types, including the DualSense wireless controller, the Razer Kitsune all-button arcade controller, and the NACON Daija Arcade Stick. While the full game is scheduled for 2026, this early demo offers a first look at how the Marvel Universe translates into Arc’s signature fighting style.
A Developer Combat Panel will also be held on Friday, August 1 at 8pm PT on the Evo Showcase Stage. Key developers from Arc System Works and Marvel Games will discuss the game live, with fans at home able to tune in on Twitch or the PlayStation Esports YouTube channel.
FlexStrike Fight Stick on Display for the First Time
Evo 2025 will also host the first public showing of FlexStrike, PlayStation’s upcoming wireless fight stick. Previously known as Project Defiant. The FlexStrike is designed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It uses PlayStation Link technology for ultra-low latency wireless performance on PS5 and PC.
Attendees can see the fight stick on display at both the Fight Stick Museum and the Arc System Works booth. The version on display won’t be the final retail version. However, it’ll show off all the planned features along with the included carry case.
FlexStrike features mechanical switch buttons, swappable restrictor gates (square, circle, and octagon), built-in storage, and a rechargeable battery. It also includes a new PS Link USB adapter that supports USB-C connections. With the adapter, players can connect the fight stick and a Pulse Elite headset or Pulse Explore earbuds at the same time for seamless audio and chat.
Other features include a built-in lever mode switch, lock button, and compatibility with DualSense controls like the touchpad. You can also keep your DualSense controller connected for menu navigation between matches.
Play MARVEL Tōkon and Preview FlexStrike at Evo 2025
Whether you’re hitting the floor in Las Vegas or tuning in online, Evo 2025 has plenty to offer. The first playable demo of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls and the debut showing of PlayStation’s FlexStrike fight stick are two major reasons to keep an eye on the event.
You’ll be able to check out both at the Arc System Works booth from August 1 to 3. Watching from home? Catch the Developer Combat Panel and more over on Twitch or the PlayStation Esports YouTube channel.
