Set in a fantastic world steeped in political conflict and magic, Metaphor: ReFantazio blends turn-based combat with real-time exploration and narrative choice. Developed by the creators behind Persona 3, 4, and 5, it introduces a unique class system called Archetypes, letting players evolve their characters’ roles and strategies as the story unfolds.
The game explores the aftermath of a king’s assassination, as various factions compete for power in a race to awaken a magical being. Players assume the role of a mysterious traveler who enters the competition for the throne, while managing relationships, uncovering lore, and navigating dungeons full of dangerous enemies.
