Netflix Games has been rapidly building up its game catalogue in the world of mobile gaming and cloud gaming. However, we have a brand new game added to Netflix’s mobile game library (because adding new cloud games is a little hard for Netflix apparently). The game in question is a sports game called Sports Sports. So let’s dive into it.
What Is Sports Sports About?
Sports Sports is developed by Broxcorp who developed fellow Netflix game Skies Of Chaos. Sports Sports is obviously a sports game and is presented in a very similar style to the sort of games you would see happening in the Paris Olympics which are currently ongoing. The official description for Sports Sports reads:
Sprint, Swim, throw, lift and leap to the top of the worldwide leaderboard in this arcade-style competition. Can you beat the best of the best?
Chase the sweet taste of victory in an array of minigames that test your skill and recreate the thrill of your favourite sports, on the track, in the pool and more. Choose your own way to play, from quick practise matches to multi-event championships and multiplayer showdowns. Every time you compete, you’ll earn points that help you climb the global rankings as you strive to be the very best.
This release on Netflix is unique, as we haven’t seen many sports games appear on Netflix Games yet; however, this game is more interesting to a gamer like me than games like EA Sports FC24 or EA Sports College Football 25. It is also nice to see Broxcorp continue to support Netflix Games, as Skies Of Chaos is one of the earliest Netflix Games, and now with Sports Sports, it shows Netflix has a strong partnership with them. All in all, Sports Sports seems like the perfect video game to play on Netflix in between watching the Olympic games.
