Halo Infinite has introduced a new update featuring a 20-tier Operation Pass, a new Big Team Battle (BTB) mode, an updated Exchange, an upcoming Waypoint Chronicle, and various new content. Let’s take a look!
Firstly, Operation Anvil is active from July 2 to 30. It includes a new Sangheili-themed ASSAILER armor, a new emblem, and additional Spartan Points. The ASSAILER armor is inspired by elements from two Sangheili helmets in Halo Infinite, with features from the Enforcer and the Special Operations Elite infiltration harness.
Operation Pass Details
Players can progress through the Operation Pass using Match XP and Challenge completions. Premium options include:
- 500 credits: Makes the Operation Pass permanent, offers bonus XP, an extra Challenge slot, and an exclusive customization item.
- 2,000 credits: Instantly unlocks all 20 tiers of the Operation Pass and includes the exclusive customization item.
Both options include the Smash and Grab weapon model for the M41 SPNKr and the Rent Seeker weapon coating.
BTB: Sentry Defense Mode
A new BTB mode, Sentry Defense, has been introduced. In this mode, teams protect their sentries while trying to destroy the enemy’s. Each team starts with 2,000 points, and points decrease as damage is dealt to the sentries. The mode features Repair Fields that provide health regeneration and repair sentries. Sentry Defense is playable on the following maps:
- Fragmentation
- Highpower
- Deadlock
- Oasis
- Scarr
- Command
New BTB Map: Command
Command, a new symmetrical BTB map, has been added to the map rotation. Created by community cartographers, it features winding roads for vehicular action and multi-level structures reminiscent of the Avery J. Johnson Academy and Halo 3’s Rat’s Nest.

Later this month, a new Waypoint Chronicle will explore daily life aboard Anvil Station from the perspective of its multispecies personnel. It will be available on Halo Waypoint as a free PDF and audiobook on YouTube.
