I, and all my colleagues at Cloud Dosage, have always said that GeForce NOW is a fantastic cloud gaming platform. It offers access to a vast library of games with impressive performance. However, one recurring annoyance that can disrupt the gaming experience is the need for constant logins. While the service’s streaming quality and game library are top-notch, the frequent login prompts can be frustrating. Particularly when you’re eager to jump into a game – and even more so if you are playing on your mobile or TV and use 2-factor Authentication.
But NVIDIA has revealed that it will soon be introducing a new feature that allows users to link their Xbox accounts to their GeForce NOW streaming service. This update will streamline the sign-in process, ensuring a seamless gaming experience.
Starting August 22nd, users will only need to sign in and link their Xbox profile once. Your future GeForce NOW sessions will have access to this saved data. This new feature complements the existing Xbox game library sync functionality on GeForce Now. This allows members to synchronize their supported Xbox Game Pass and Microsoft Store games with their GFN library. NVIDIA first introduced access to these titles on GeForce NOW last year. They later added account syncing to simplify the process of bringing games from Microsoft’s store to the GeForce NOW library. With automatic sign-in now in place, users can enjoy a more convenient and hassle-free gaming experience on GeForce NOW.
This announcement comes just weeks after Microsoft integrated GeForce NOW into its Xbox game pages online. This integration enables users to choose between Xbox Cloud Gaming or GeForce NOW when browsing game listings. The close collaboration between the two companies is made possible by a 10-year deal that grants NVIDIA a license to use Xbox PC games, including Activision Blizzard titles, on GeForce NOW.
