Operation: Fleetcom Brings Back VIP Mode to Halo Infinite

343 Industries has announced the return of VIP mode in the upcoming Halo Infinite update, Operation: Fleetcom. This fan-favorite mode, last seen in Halo 3, will be available starting July 30.

What is the VIP mode?

VIP mode is a team-based game mode, typically played 4v4. Each team has an initial VIP, who must be protected while attempting to eliminate the opposing team’s VIP. Key points for this mode include:

  • Each team must reach 10 points to win.
  • VIPs have extra health, making them harder to kill.
  • Each VIP kill is worth one point.
  • If the VIP dies, the next player on the team to die becomes the new VIP upon respawn.
  • VIPs are marked with a nav marker and visual effects, making them identifiable to opponents.

The VIP mode will be available on the following maps:

  • Bazaar
  • Catalyst
  • Forbidden
  • Forest
  • Illusion
  • Interference
  • Prism

Additionally, VIP mode will be integrated into Forge and Custom Games, providing a variety of new customization options. Players will be able to utilize new VIP-related nodes in the nodegraph scripting feature to tailor their gameplay experiences.

Available tools include:

  • Set VIP
  • Clear Team VIP
  • On New VIP
  • On VIP Killed
  • Get Is VIP
  • Set VFX Status

What else?

In addition to VIP mode, Operation: Fleetcom will reintroduce the Headhunter mode later in the operation. Details on Headhunter will be shared at a later date.
