During the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, ATLUS announced Persona 4 Revival, a full remake of the fan favourite RPG Persona 4. The reimagined game is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam. And, it will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It supports Xbox Play Anywhere, letting you play on both console and PC.
While the release date is still to be announced, Xbox wishlisting is now live, with other platform options coming soon. A new debut trailer showcased upgraded graphics and a look at the town of Inaba, where the story takes place.
A Return to Inaba With a New Look
Originally released in 2008, Persona 4 follows a transfer student navigating life in a quiet rural town that hides dark secrets. Persona 4 Revival takes you back to Inaba with a new group of friends. But something’s not right. Murders are happening, and they seem tied to a strange TV world.
The debut trailer showed how the visuals have been upgraded and offered a quick peek at some story and combat scenes. ATLUS promises a faithful return to the original story with fresh presentation designed for both new and returning fans.
Kazuhisa Wada, Director at P-STUDIO, shared a message alongside the reveal. He called Persona 4 a “special title” that holds a personal place in his heart, referencing its long history of spin-offs and adaptations. Wada expressed excitement to reintroduce the game to a new generation:
“We are confident that this will be a fresh and surprising product for both newcomers and long-time fans,” Wada said. “We look forward to sharing it with you all.”
He also noted that development is progressing well and confirmed that more updates will follow as work continues on the broader Persona series.
